lost my adresslist by download new version Thunderbird
I was forced to download the newest version of Thunderbird and m adress list is obvriously not taken over. So I lost all my addresses. How ist this possible as you stated, all personal installations were taken over?

apparently solved by renaming all files beginning with abook and history, and copying the ones from an older profile. I hope that on next opening Thunderbird does not mess it up again. Seriously, this version 102 has some bugs. It also ate up my tab, I spent most of yesterday morning tryung to fix them

Go to your profile directory. Do you see abook-xxx.sqlite files ?
Check Tools > Developer Tools > Error Console for address book related entries a) on startup b) opening address book

Having the same problem here. I tried to copy and paste old address book versions from before the update, but it seems I have lost all of my imported addresses. Basically, I can't use autocomplete any longer, I have to insert everything from scratch. Instead of importing the old address book databases, it only multiplied them in copies of the same one. As a last resort I am trying to erase and rebuild the global sqlite database and see if that helps. Any other advice in order not to lose 10 years' worth of addresses?
