Thunderbird login password not recognized (still valid on Web mail) .
Dear helpers ,
Unable to login with my password, even though same password gives me access in the webmail account.
Account provider is : Tim. it (@alice.it)
In server setting I have :
Imap in.alice.it Port 143
Smtp out.alice.it Port 587
(On page E d i t - Preferences - Saved Passwords I only have blank page ). See enclosure below.

Does Saved Passwords have any other entries?
No, @mail password is not saved on Firefox logins and passwords (for security reason).

I'm talking about Thunderbird, not Firefox.
I suppose something is wrong with system password unlock .
I remember my operating system ( Debian ) requested me for said password (Meanwhile I have forgotten the right name of this password request, anyway concerning user password).
System doesn't ask me any more. (Is system unlocked for Thunderbird ? ).
