What is in cache? Browsing history?
<tools> <Clear recent history> asks whether I want to delete Browsing history cookies cache
I have 7800 entries in cache. Are these "scratch" or "temporary" files or are these files I have kept in folders over a few decades? I want to keep the messages that I put in folders.
Is Browsing history just links to Firefox I clicked on inside messages?

Thank you.
Usually "cache" is a synonym for "scratch" or "temporary" but I recently saw something that used "cache" for what i think of as "archive". I just wanted to be sure.
Hello there
Yes the cache is temporary for website history and cookies. In all devices there is a method to erase them it makes your computer slower or faster by deleting them , but that is at a minimum. After that there is also a deleting option on the pc or device to delete storage storage from captured pictures etc. That’s direct from your hdd or ssd card or disk. You can put the files on the disks and delete them manually.

Hello
What Will Clearing Cached Data Do? Most devices have some form of cache cleanup. New data comes in, and older information is removed. This system ensures that your device isn't bogged down by so much storage that it can't tackle anything new.
Other caches can also content pictures etc.
Erasing them to is actually the same progress.
