things have obviously changed. thunderbird is now being handled differently and I am confused. I have been using thunderbird for, literally, years. I am currently using v 76.01 My OS is Ubuntu 18.04.3
My thunderbird has been acting up. One problem was that I started getting errors about losing connection, etc. when I sent stuff. The problem was in the name that pops up in the send to line. If I take out all the stuff, other than the address, ie. <> and name from addresses, etc. it works just fine. This is also irregular and sometimes works and sometimes doesn"t (I know, not helpful).
Anyway, Is this where the new forum is going to be or is there another set of addresses to deal with thunderbird. Most that I found are at mozilla addresses, does that remain?

The latest stable release of Thunderbird is at version 68.8.1, not 76.01. Please confirm which version you're using, or to avoid lots of questions, go to Troubleshooting Information > Copy text to clipboard then paste it here in your next reply. It will give us a better look at your setup.
