Why would my TB suddently stop rec'ing emails from a trusted organization that I've rec'd daily emails from for yrs?
I'm having a problem w/my TB email and hoping someone can help me. There is an organization that's been sending me a daily email for about 4 yrs now and I want to keep rec'ing these. Approx a wk ago they stopped coming through. The org (www.dailylectionary.org) says the problem is not w/them. My internet server (Bell Aliant) says that the problem is not w/them. These are not going to my "junk" folder. I've no idea why they would suddenly stop. I am a VERY "low tech" person. Can anyone help? Thanks so much!

log into you providers web mail using your browser and see if they are in a spam folder on the web mail.

Is your account IMAP or POP? I had assumed POP in my last comment.

Are the .org messages arriving at the Inbox when you view the account via webmail? Are recent messages from other senders arriving in TB? It sometimes happens that a corrupted message arrives at the mail server and blocks downloads of other messages to TB.
The info you posted is for Firefox, not TB.

Hi again Matt & SF - I apologize for my abrupt exit last night. It was getting late here and due to some nasty T&L I really wanted to shut down all my electronics. Then work and other commitments took over as they will for the nx few days. But I tried again to follow your suggestion and I think/hope I've got it this time. To try to answer your other ?s. Other emails all seem to be coming through no problem at all. And when I access my email via webmail, there is nothing in the spam/junk folders there either.

I'm still not sure: "Are the .org messages arriving at the Inbox when you view the account via webmail?" If the messages from this sender aren't getting to the webmail Inbox, or any other folder, then it's not a problem caused by an incorrect configuration in TB. Despite what Bell says, their mail server may be rejecting mail from the .org domain for some reason, such as that domain being a source of spam. If you have an account with some other, non-Bell, provider, see if you can receive mail from that sender. Also, ask that sender to send a test message to you as a single recipient, not as part of a mass mailing.
And this morning the daily lectionary came through as if there had never been a problem ... Do I hope it continues to show up, or is there still something I should be doing?

I think there's probably an issue with the sender's mass mailing process. Do you have sporadic delivery from other daily bulletins? I suggest you look for a different source of this kind of content and see if it works more consistently.

This has been really consistent over the yrs w/no problems whatsoever. It always arrives in my mailbox around 0200. It actually came in today, but in the late afternoon. I don't receive any other daily mailings, so can't compare. Guess I'll just cross my fingers and hope. Thanks to all for the attempts to help! :-)
