After migration of accounts, Thunderbird keeps crashing Windows with bluscreen as result. Can someone help?
Hi all,
I've been trying to migrate my mail accounts from thunderbird on my old laptop to my new one, both via MozBackup as via the Roaming map-method. I works for a brief moment, after which my laptop crashes and gives a blue screen (see attachment). When I reboot my laptop and try to start Thunderbird, it crashes immediately to the blue screen again. When I delete the roaming map and reboot TB, it works completely normal. Does somebody know what might be causing this?
Kind regards,
Niels

Need to rule out whether this is an issue with Mozbackup. The author does say this: MozBackup is not being developed anymore. There are known issues and there is no time on my side to fix all issues and develop new features. Use MozBackup only on your risk. Thanks for understanding.
On laptop: Exit Thunderbird. Access profile folder: C:\Users\<Windows user name>\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird Copy the 'Thunderbird' folder to suitable device - external hardrive /usb
On new laptop. Exit Thunderbird. Access profile folder: C:\Users\<Windows user name>\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird Delete the 'Thunderbird' folder. Paste the copied 'Thunderbird' folder from old laptop into the 'Roaming' folder. Start thunderbird.
