Is there a verified add-on auto re-sizer for photos that I can install?

I used to use the Auto Re-size with Thunderbird, but I had to set up Thunderbird as a new user on my computer, due to another issue I was having. Now I can't download Auto Re-size because I keep getting a message which says: "This add-on could not be installed because it has not been verified." I tried looking in the "verified" add-ons for an image re-sizer, but I was not able to find one.

That's the add-on I keep trying over and over to download. I keep getting a message which says: "This add-on could not be installed because it has not been verified." I need an add-on which is verified.

Sure you're not trying to install it into Firefox?

When I click "Download Now" I have a choice to either open it with Firefox or to Save File. I've tried it both ways. (There's no option to "open with Thunderbird." When I save the file into my downloads folder and then double-click to open it, it opens up a new tab in Firefox, but that tab states: ""This add-on could not be installed because it has not been verified."

I don't know of any way to open it up in Thunderbird. Is there a way to do that?

Oh, I was able to access the add-on through Thunderbird, and now I have it installed there! So it seems it cannot be downloaded from Firefox, but if you go to Tools from within Thunderbird, and then to add-ons, and then find it in there, there is a button that says "Add to Thunderbird." That's the way I was finally able to get it installed.

Thanks for helping me to process this and for helping me to realize I had to add it from within Thunderbird!

You install downloaded add-ons from the add-on page. There is an icon that looks like a gear and in that menu is Install from File.
