After liking what I heard about using a master password, esp. when using a dated OS like W7, I created a MP. I then stepped over to my W10 machine and did the same. A few days later I tired of the MP popup, and decided to remove passwords for financial sites, etc., and just leave the saved passwords in my browser. A week later I went to my W10 machine and the MP query popped up. I couldn't, and can't remember, the last 3 characters of my MP.

Is it possible to reset the MP without the MP? I don't care about losing the stored passwords that are on the W10 machine. I'll deal with them individually. Help? Thanks.

I recently purchased a new desktop due to the previous desktop malfunctioning a bit. The old hdd is still in operating condition and is now a slave in my new cpu. Where can I find the history/bookmarks on the old drive? Is there a filename that is relevant for the data?

I was in the process adding text for over an hour when the entire document flipped. It is a PDF I am editing on FireFox. I have done this many times on different documents without this problem.

I have noted other inconsistent behaviors--am I the only one?

Everything squeezed to the left or center of firefox window. Search results are squeezed to the left third of the window leaving the rest of the window blank. Other sites are squeezed to the middle third of the window with blank areas to the left and right. This happened after I added an AI to the sidebar and then removed it.

I have Windows 10 a decent Lenovo laptop

I am fed up having to update firefox every single day !! Is it not completing the update or is there some glitch that keeps occurring ??

I have used FF for quite a while and ignored MicroSoft Edge... but I dont know how much longer I can carry on with this slowdown !!

what it says on the tin. went data purging with ol reliable WinDirStat and found this absolute behemoth of a file in the profiles directory for firefox. its especially weird considering the entire Firefox directory itself is only 1.5GB with this menace taking 1.3 of it. I cant imagine that bookmarks, search history, passwords, the works takes up any more than about 300mb. so im wondering if im just stuck in the early days of data or if the file really is just that girthy.

I have been never been able to get any useful response to any question, (including the one just posed) from the Mozilla community. I did, by serendipity wind up in a discussion with a new (to me), manage in the process though to stumble across what appeared to be a relatively new forum, within the community that offered some hope, in that it terms of reference were specific to addressing the problem.

Hooray. . .I just accessed the the new notice regarding educated guesses. Blatantly false advertising in that none were provided, but it did appear to be connected to the forum trying to address the problem at hand.

It's a daunting challenge, requiring understanding and discussion in depth because the system itself is quintessentially non-linear, dynamic, and it's ultimate configuration. . .which includes the user interface and human operators indeterminate and un-determinable. But a great and hopeful start. I believe I indicated an interest in contributing to the discussion. How do I get to it? My primary password was change on June 16, 2026. I did not initiate the change, nor have information about the new password. I have recovery keys I would like to try. I am not certain whether when the password was changed the recovery keys were as well.

The first step in support instructions is to click >forgot password< button at sign it. There is no such button.

Why am I suddenly receiving this error message when signing onto explore.org live camera feed. Error message is "Playback isn't supported on this device". i am able to play other videos on you tube,etc. How can I fix this?

I've been moved to MacOS at work and since then, Firefox will not always restore my pinned sites when I start it the next day.

Here is what I do:

1. Right click a tab, select "Pin Tab"
2. Go about my day
3. At the end of the day, I close Firefox by using command Q and shutdown my Mac
4. The next day, I start Firefox and most of the time, my pins are gone

I did not have this issue on Windows Firefox. I am using MacOS 26.5.2 and Firefox 152.0.4 Firefox says "Your browser is being managed by your organization" in settings. It is a link that can be clicked and the only active policy showing there is "DisableAppUpdate" which I assume is because we have our own tool to manage software updates.

Any idea what could cause my pinned tabs to disappear? I did not really customize the settings so far, I do NOT clear browsing data when exiting FF and the startup option "Open previous windows and tabs" is NOT selected. I have Ecosia and 1Password as plugins.
