Recently I have started experiencing a pop up which I believe is adware or something malicious trying to disguise itself as something legitimate from Firefox. This started about the time I installed the Firefox version 50.1.0 update on December 15th. This happens about every 3 days and only when I go to Yahoo.com. It occurs when I'm browsing their news headlines and I don't actually click on any links in yahoo. A pop up appears on my screen that says:

you have chosen to open

firefox-js

which is: java script file (9.2 kb)

https://gaibacoupontec.com

Also every time this happens the https:// changes to a different address each time. I have screen shots of several of these occurrences. I attempted to upload one screenshot with this question, but for some reason it would not attach the file. I didn't know if this is a firefox problem or not, but tries to appear as if coming from firefox so I thought I would ask the question here and see if anyone else has had this problem and maybe someone could tell me what I need to do to fix this. Any help would be appreciated.

The article you sent me shows exactly what I have been experiencing. I've been using firefox a long time and this is the first time I've ever had something like this happen. I'll try an ad blocker add on and see if that helps. Thanks for the information and the quick response.
