Hi Forefox dosent show cookie content pop ups for some webpages. Have tried loading the same webpages with Edge, and a pop up is shown, whwere i am asked which cookies i would allow.

Have cleared the cahe/cookie, started up in secured mode, deleted profiles (made an search on firefox/Mozilla and deleted all files) and reinstalled firefox but the problem persist.

It started a month ago, just like that, Have changed pc, to a new one, and from windows 10 to windows 11, still the same.

Help would be nice, thank you.

I am trying to add an mp4 video to my website using the following code:

where ### is the name of the video file. I get the following error message:

"No video with supported format or MIME type found."

In the console the following is displayed:

"Media resource http://127.0.0.1:5502/images/###.mp4 could not be decoded. video.html All candidate resources failed to load. Media load paused. video.html Media resource http://127.0.0.1:5502/images/###.mp4 could not be decoded, error: Error Code: NS_ERROR_DOM_MEDIA_METADATA_ERR (0x806e0006)"

Runs just fine in Chrome and I have no pop-up blockers installed. Autoplay is set to be allowed for all websites.

Windows 11 version 23H2. Firefox version: 126.0 (64-bit)

My PC froze and had no choice but to reload win 10. After doing so I had the choice to download win 11 for free which I did. When I download Firefox all of my bookmarks were missing. I have tried to follow your instructions to retrieve them i.e. Troubleshooting... Application Basics ... Profile Folder...Open Folder... which opened >>> C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\42o9xo83.default-release . Sadly, I am not a Teckie and I do not have a clue what the next move is to get my bookmarks back.

I went to settings and then to privacy and security and tried to find auto fill to remove credit card info. I couldn't find the setting the browser told me to find.

For months, now, whenever I try to post a comment on a Yahoo! News article, it reads: "Your comment has failed to published." This only happens in Firefox. My "Privacy & Security" settings are set to "Standard," my "History" set to "use custom settings for history" with settings "Remember browsing and download history" and "Clear history when Firefox closes." so cookies and cache get cleared then.

Sometimes this works when starting a new session. But I shouldn't have to start another session and lose all of my logins just to post a comment on a Yahoo News article.

Anyone else having this problem? Is there an easy and permanent fix? What are you settings set at?

When attempting to install a "clean" verison (delete old, install new) I get an error message about using the firefox removal tool. Where do I get it and how do I remove the old one and install a newest version?

I am experiencing an issue related to the Vanguard anti-cheat system used by Riot Games, specifically in relation to League of Legends. After installing the game and Vanguard, I am unable to open Firefox. When I try to launch Firefox, nothing happens. However, if I change the name of the firefox.exe file, I can start Firefox on a different profile, but it only works for a short period before becoming unresponsive. None of the options or tabs respond after that.

Could you please provide assistance on how to resolve this issue?

I did post this before, and Paul replied (thanks) but he didn't suggest a solution. When I add bookmarks to the Firefox Focus home screen, those icons are cut off, so the label is very difficult to read. If this is a bug then I reported it earlier to Bugzilla, but if it is not a bug then how can I fix it, please? Thank you.

As title- Cannot download for example webm format, but jpg is okay. cannot install any addon, theme or anything. DRM didnt install as well. i was trying reinstall, refreshing browser, rebooting.

I am getting "Secure Connection Failed", Ive seen literally hundereds of same error also exist here. Like most of default solution (which is below) did not work for me. My laptops time is correct, And I highly doubt reddit and most of internet has issue with its security certificates. And other browser works just fine. So What is my solution other than immigrating to new browser?

When using amazon the login and page load times are excessively long. More often than not I can open MSN, load amazon, login, and find what I'm looking for before Firefox has completed signing me in or searching for an item. This is not a once in a while problem, it happens every time with amazon, some times worse than other times. Ive deleted and reloaded Firefox, cleared all history and tried as many other things that I could find online to try, none of which helped.

If I open a second tab on the screen it says the connection has crashed and keeps doing it if you try again. If you reset it resets Firefox including the other tab.

On Edge or other search engines I've been able to highlight, copy and past a web address where the pasted result is a clickable link to the website, but this doesn't work for Firefox. I have looked through the settings and other questions online, but found no solution, from what I can see people more often ask about the opposite issue to mine. Is this a limitation of the search engine or am I dumb?

I am trying to open a website but I keep getting error code 522. I've tried using Chrome and it connects to the website with no problem. I've checked my privacy settings and I do not have that website blocked. What else can I check? I don't think it's an issue from the website side. I would like to further secure my passwords but don't want to have to enter the primary password every time I start the browser. I would like it to only prompt me if a password is needed. I can go days without needing a password to be entered and open and close Firefox every time I use it. It gets tedious. Thanks!

I'm trying to import a password csv file generated by Roboform into firefox password editor. I've exported the csv file from Roboform but when I try to import to the Firefox password page I get: "Incorrect or missing column headers. Make sure the file includes columns for username, password and URL". The csv file does have column headings. Is there a way to do this?
