Suddenly credentials gone, how to troubleshoot the cause
Hi,
A few weeks ago I lost my lockwise credentials (around 20 or more). Fortunately I remembered the most one and were able to login. But I really lost more than 7 ones anyway. And this is not something to make fun about.
How can I troubleshoot the root cause of this happening for the next time? And What is a proper way to find it again? Or Can I save passwords outside the "Lockwise"?
Edit: maybe I messed something up by myself with configuration profile. I did not assume my browser stored it in a json file, which could be the reason they were suddenly gone everywhere, apparently. If thats the case, I do not worry, but one should make this sure.
Regards, Lajos

On a desktop device, the logins are stored in logins.json in the profile folder. You also need the matching companion file key4.db that stores the encryption key (basic salt and primary password).
You can look at a utility to browse System Restore points to see if you can find lost files.
If you have ever used the refresh feature in Firefox then you may have an "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop.
