Bookmarks disappearing due to sync?

Hei All,

I recently noticed that some of my bookmark folders have unfortunately been emptied.

I read related articles without finding any solution. So here are my questions:

- I am wondering if this might be due to a sync issue? I am mainly syncing between Windows 10 and iOS both on laptops. Once i turned on the sync on my smartphone, a Fairphone 3 with Android. But I turned off the sync and deleted all my browser data soon after. May this have caused a data loss?

- I've also recently tried out the multi-container add-on, but removed it again. Could this be the cause?

- Is there any limit in the amount of bookmarks one may save?

- And is it possible to restore ones bookmarks older than three weeks ago, from the cloud?

Thanks in advance for your help, still hoping to find those bookmarks back :)
