Redirecting in a way that will never complete

On the Pubmed.gov/NCBI website, I cannot access my "favorites" page. I can log in, but when I attempt to view that page, I get a message that the page is redirecting in a way that cannot be completed.

It works in another browser. Clearing the cache did not fix it. Clearing the cookies for that site did not fix it. Using a private browsing window DOES allow it to work.

Any suggestions regarding what is different about the private browsing window that makes the difference?
