Mediafire does not show download link
It's been about a week since I last manage to download from Mediafire. When I click on a Mediafire link, the download link does not show although the page has finish loading. Refreshing the page repeatedly does not help and I've tried the solution to delete all cookies as stated on a similar thread (http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/forum/1/673873) but it doesn't work either. After deleting all the cookies, clicking on the Myfiles link brings me to Mediafire's main webpage instead. Are there any ways to solve this? =( Please help!

Hello Jessica.
I'm glad it's solved, but you will not have your old bookmarks, history, settings, passwords and add-ons in your new profile. If you need help importing them, feel free to ask.
That error in the screenshot is generated by the site itself, and not Firefox. If it's giving you trouble, contact them for support (I don't know why it happens).

Hello Jessica.
See this support article and see if it helps:
Hi Morbus, thank you for the reply!
Sadly it doesn't work =( I cleared the cache and the download link finally showed but after I clicked on it to download, the page loaded back into the missing download link like last time (T_T)
Thanks for your help anyway ^^
You may be having a problem with some extension or plugin that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
I've disabled all my add-ons and plug-ins (excluding java and flash player) but the same thing still happens ;_; Is there anything else I can try to do?
That is weird... Try even with Flash and Java disabled (since they are not used in Mediafire). If that doesn't work, please type about:support in your address bar and press ENTER, then click "Copy all to clipboard". Then paste here. Hopefully that will give me a bit more information to work with.
It's still the same ;_; And I typed about:support in the address bar but it tells me it's not a valid url and cannot be loaded. I'm sorry ;_; Will a screenshot do instead? Does it have anything to do with my firefox being an older version??
Thank you so much for your help.
Oh, that's right... about:support is present only from Firefox 3.6 onwards... :\ If you want/can upgrade Firefox and then send me the report, that would be helpful. A screenshot would also be helpful, yes (of the whole window, please, not just the page itself).
And it is unlikely that this has anything to do with your Firefox version. 3.5 is still support and should work fine on all sites.
Ok, I've updated to firefox 3.6. Here's the support data and the screenshot. I hope it helps and umm, sorry for all the trouble as well..

I can't see anything wrong with your profile... I have tried that page, and it works perfectly on my extension-filled Firefox as well as on a default profile.
I can't understand why this would happen. If you followed all the instructions I gave you, the only thing to do in order to narrow down the possible cause of this issue is to create a new Firefox profile. See this page for info on that:
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+profiles
Remember that this new profile is temporary and only to see if the problem still exists with it. Report back the results, please.
Also, here's a tip: if you go into View > Toolbars and click "Bookmarks toolbar", that big empty space in your toolbar will disappear :)
Hi Morbus!
YES THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Creating a new profile solved the problem. The old profile still can't load the download link but the new profile works perfectly. I'd like to inform you though the new profile shows the download link properly, when I click on Myfiles, it gives an error message after a few minutes of loading. I attached a screenshot for you.
I hope it's all ok now and the problem is permanently solved. Thanks for the tip and thank you sooooooooo much for the help! I really appreciate it!

Hi Morbus!
I read the faq and I've imported my bookmarks and all ^^ I hope the Mediafire thing won't act up again :D At least for now I'll be able to download, I can always use other filehost to upload my files for backup first. Thank you so much for your help!!
I had the same problem but I made a mediafire free account and it works again!
