How to update my addons?

In Find and install extensions on Firefox for Android, the author described the method to update addons: update Firefox and the addons will be auto-updated. That, however, didn't take place when I update. The addons haven't ever been updated since the first installation! And I believe my network is always stable. Could you please tell me how to update my addons manually? Uninstalling them and then reinstalling surely solve the issue, but bother and cause the loss of my settings.
