So my bookmarks from Mozilla Firefox on my Microsoft Windows laptop aren't showing when I log in with the same account using Mozilla Firefox on my Android phone.

Am I missing something? Anyone else have this problem? I'm open to suggestions..

Hi

The bookmarks are only kept in the account to be able to send them to other devices signed into the same account - it is not online storage.

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers. You can also file a bug report or feature request. See File a bug report or feature request for Mozilla products for details.

Hi

I understand that Firefox Sync did not connect to your mobile device on this occasion, but hopefully I should be able to help you force a Sync event to take place.

Assuming you have connected the same Sync account on both your mobile and desktop copies of Firefox:

In Firefox on your mobile device:

  1. Go into the Settings menu and select Firefox Account.
  2. Tap on Synchronise now.

This will “force” a synchronisation of the data that is on the local device storage.

Hey there,

I have done this, but my bookmarks still aren't appearing. Is it possible that I'm using more than one account, otherwise do I need to be logged in on both my computer and phone at the same time?

Are you able to look and see how many accounts I have via my email addresses?

I haven't owned a laptop in a very long time, so I use my Android phone instead..

Hi

You need to logged into the same account credentials on both devices.

As I said; I'm logged in and have force synced it more than once to no prevail!

Hi

I do not have access to your account data.

How long are you leaving it between syncing from the desktop to checking on the mobile?

The first time I tried it had been roughly about a year. This was a while ago though. I just expected my bookmarks to have been saved for as long as I kept my account.

.. It's possible that I logged in with a different account, though I doubt it..

You don't actually work for Mozilla right? i.e. this support forum is only community based? Is there any way to actually contact someone who does work for Mozilla, or at least has access to my account information?
