New firefox doesn't open links?

Does not open links from: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1EFMm-CH14HpbJ1osoZAwAjhwTKPwKJBRyPpTGm5dzB0/pub , though it used to work and seems to in other browsers.

I just upgraded and my standard home page, from google docs, no longer allows me to click it's links and open the linked to page. 

    If I click on a link, the new tab just contains about:blank .
    though I can long click, select open in new tab, and switch to it. and get to the new page that is appropriate.

Please give me settings to make the newer version work like the older one and have information, version info , etc., so that I can learn about the new one. 

    I don't see how to set the home page, character encoding, etc.

Or give me a way to keep the older version, clean up the beta? version, and let me see when it is usable, use the classic version, or I'll have to go to Chrome, etc.
