Why can't FF have the same 'bookmark' window in Android, so as to enable import/export bookmarks feature?

My thinking is that it is not that difficult to reproduce the bookmark related features in the Android version of firefox too. For user like me who had been using FF for aeons, it would really help in moving to mobiles, tablets, etc.

By the way, if required, my mobile uses Android Version 4.1.2

I meant importing from my laptop to Android and having the bookmark related functionality screen in Android. (the Ctrl+shft+B and Import and backup')

While I appreciate the reply for the sake of general public, my question is not frivolous and I would have already read all that is there to read and would looked at the code too... So it would be great to avoid sending me links to known stuff. My question was more a suggestion to take this up in the future releases...

By the way, I do not like the concept of 'Sync' and I don't use it.

Firefox for Android and desktop Firefox have slightly different ways of storing the bookmark data. It would take quite a bit of work to allow a file import.

Bookmarks are not a static thing, the list grows and shrinks as people add them. Then you find people who want to constantly re-import on a regular basis. De-duping existing bookmarks is a rather challenging task.

File import would be a cool extension.
