how do you get back to email inbox from an open email without having to scroll backward through countless previous openings to get back to inbox and click to reveal it again

the default font for writing texts is too small for me to easily read. Yet when I send the message the text size too large, How do I control these font sizes independently

I licked on the bottom for "Trash mails control" under "Tools/Utilities", and then "Delete e-mails as Trash in the Map" by mistake. (I try to translate here, but may be not correct since I just have the program in Norwegian). All mails in Inbox are gone - and I at once checked my Mail Server by One.com - but everything was gone there too. Are there any way to get them back??

I was working busily in Thunderbird email, where I have a number of subfolders under "All Mail" where I store replies and such. One of the most important subfolders (which itself has many subfolders) has suddenly disappeared. I've looked manually through other subfolders, to see if I somehow moved it by accident, to no avail. Is there a way to search for a subfolder, or can anyone suggest where it might have gone?

this morning, after logging into my Thunderbird account, all my subfolders from my main account were in the "Trash" folder, and there was no correspondence in them. Folders named "V 2" also appeared in the Trash folder. Could you please advise if it's possible to restore these correspondence and folders to their previous state? I also tried using the "repair folder" function, but it didn't work.

A folder (Local Folder) shows that I have 20 UNREAD messages. I don't care about them and want to mark them all as READ right away, so I right-click on the folder and select “Mark all folders as read,” but NOTHING happens! I search for the “unread” ones, it finds them, I select them all and right-click, but no options are available! What’s the point of the search and multiple selection in this case?

Please either tell me how to do this in a single step or fix these usability bugs.

None of your "topics" addresses my issue at all. Where is your user manual? I'm trying to figure out how your "retention" works. Also how to get a message filter to run on a specific folder daily.

Hello. Something strange happens in my emails. I read and/or delete an email and then at the bottom of any saved emails, the following shows up: no "from", no "subject" and no "recipient. It only shows 12/31/1969 5:00 pm. It is almost impossible to delete it. If I am lucky, it might finally disappear after closing Thunderbird and starting it again, several times. Becoming very much a nuisance. Thank you.

I have had to replace my laptop and am trying to set up my new one with an existing outlook account on the new device.

It is a Windows 11 device.

I have used the exact server settings etc from my old lap top for the outlook account but get a variety of error messages.

I have explored the use of the Account Hub and also switched that off/on. Same situation.

I attach five screen captured images so far. The first is the version of TB. The second is the window that appears when the account tries to connect and thirdly the small pop up that appears bottom right hand corner of laptop. The remaining two show the server settings and that they passed the connection test.

Other email accounts (gmail & yahoo) have both been set up on the new device and work well.

The account worked on the old laptop and continues to do so. I have set up the outlook account with, to the best of my knowledge, the same settings. The old lap top was a windows 10 device. The new laptop does not have a third party antivirus on it.

I am baffled as to what is happening and what I should do next. Any advice would be great.

My mom needs help accessing her emails she had acs internet and had to cancel the service for 4 months and her email is X@ptalaska.net and she has the service again with acs and woukd like to have the back emails resent.

The sorting of the Recent Destinations menu has changed and is now no longer usable. It is not sorted by most recent or any other obvious order. It now takes me more time to scan through the list to find what I want when it used to be a very useful/quick tool. Anyone else notice this new issue? Thanks!

Does clearing up disk space from this option(see image) delete the emails from server as well? I have attached the image, if I were to delete the emails from this option will it delete the emails from the server as well? and additionally I couldn't find the manual triggering of "Compact Folders".

Under my email address, Jim@JimFrance which is not registered on this site, I had two folders to which I had moved important emails in order to save them. One of these folders I restarted since it was relatively new and I could still search and find the emails. The other one is months of work. It is not in my folder list. It was there yesterday. But when I fired up Thunderbird this morning, it has vanished. How do retrieve it?

Hi - I can't seem to delete from my Yahoo Mail via Thunderbird.

With Yahoo's new mailbox limits I wanted to clean up my Yahoo mail box and Yahoo obviously does not provide any decent tools to support search and delete.

I downloaded Thunderbird and despite several deletion attempts my Yahoo mailbox still shows 160,000 emails whilst my Thunderbird client only 9,000 - so when I delete it is not syncing.

Most emails are deleted from Thunderbird however some are now reappearing (in Thunderbird). No deletions from Thunderbird are reachign my Yahoo mail inbox, however I can send emails from Thunderbird and see the sent and received email in Yahoo and I can add folders in Thunderbird and see those folders in Yahoo.

I tried several things

- immeadiate delete in Thunderbird - moving the emails to a folder in Thunderbird and then deleting from that and then deleting the the folder - I check this article https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/thunderbird-and-yahoo and everything appears correct

I've had to pay for extra storage to get the code to make this post.

I have folders designated A-G, H-Q, etc. and in those folders are subfolders. The A-G folder displays as though it is in Italic font and I cannot move a folder into it.

I just got a new computer and when I download e-mail on to my computer, it stays on the web site and when I get e-mail later that day, the previous e-mails I downloaded are still there and they are now duplicated on my hard drive. I get hundreds of e-mails per day and besides being a hastle, I will reach my quota pretty quickly. Thank you. X@riseup.net

Since this didn't happen with my previous computer, I assume some setting got changed. I hope this is one of those easy-when-you-know-how things.
