The “Show my windows and tabs from last time” option in the Firefox 3.6.16 Preferences/Startup menu was working on my iMac (OS/X 10.6.7) last week; now it’s not.
When I close Firefox with multiple tabs/windows open, the next time I open Firefox they’re all gone, and I’m left with a single window and tab showing my home page (Google).

The file that stores details of sessions may be corrupt. Try deleting the file to see if it helps.
- Open your Firefox profile folder, for details of how to find it see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles
- Close Firefox
- Delete sessionstore.js and if it exists sessionstore.bak
