Firefox 4 isn't hiding on startup on my Mac.

Using the "hide" feature and "open at login" Firefox 4 does not hide on startup. I have uninstalled Firefox, deleted the user directory, reinstalled, still the same problem. I have also repaired disc permissions. I have also tried running without any plug-ins. It seems to me that this must be a bug in Firefox 4, but I can't seem to find anyone else with the problem. Any suggetions? It is a known bug? Mac OS X 10.6.7
