all my folders have disappeared where are they? how do I get them back

If your bookmark folders have disappeared, first check whether you're using the correct Firefox profile or if Firefox created a new profile. You can also restore bookmarks from a backup by opening the Bookmarks Manager, selecting Import and Backup, and choosing Restore to recover a previous backup.
