Unblock Ecosia ads

Hi Kiki, Thank you for the reply. I apologize for the late confirmation. The issue seems to have resolved itself, either due to Firefox or Ecosia or my computer updating. Otherwise, the "https://ecosia.org" in the Enhanced Protection exceptions finally kicked in, months later. I will view the article should the issue arise again. Still, I would like to add something should other Ecosia users experience a similar issue. Today, I came to change my homepage to "https://www.ecosia.org/?_sp=00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000" in hopes that it would resemble that of Chrome. Before, I tried many 'ecosia.org' variations for both homepage and Enhanced Protection exceptions, but no variation felt familiar enough or brought back ads. I stumbled upon this long address and tried it. It works. The homepage becomes a landing page for new Ecosia users, but you can type your queries into the middle and it looks similar. Making 'ecosia.org' your homepage now leads to the same thing. It lacks some features of the homepage and new tab page of the Ecosia extension on Chrome 138 ("chrome://newtab/"). When searching with Ecosia as a default homepage, both on new tabs and homepage searches, I noticed ads appear. To compare with before, I asked leading questions (likely to elicit an ad) and the ads seem to work as usual now. However, when I switched my homepage to the Firefox default, I noticed that searching leading questions did not produce ads. This may be a coincidence, but upon making Ecosia the homepage again, the ads are back. In short, if you want to use Ecosia ''with'' ads, try changing your homepage along with the Enhanced Protection exception. Have a good one. Miran.
