HI, I have that there are 76 emails, but they won't download and I got this message and tried a few different things like fix the inbox on the right click, and still no emails. The message had said, Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you to write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox. " I also tried to compact the files to see if this would help. Thank you for y our help. J

Try disabling your antivirus, it is quite probable it is locking Thunderbird profile files to scan while it is trying to get more mail.

This is one of the reasons we recommend creating n exception in the antivirus product to exclude the profile folder from on access scanning.
