accessing saved usernames and passwords while browsing

While trying to login to a website for which i have saved my username and password, firefox only autofills password, that too when clicked on the password field, it doesn't fill username in the username field.

It is possible that the username field isn't recognized because the type is not something like text or email.
You can check this in the Inspector via the right-click context menu.
You can right-click and select "Inspect" to open the built-in Inspector with this element selected.
