Can someone please explain to me what happened and how to fix this problem. On 5/31/22 @ 9:45am Thunderbird stopped downloading my email messages from verizon.net net email account manged by AOL (I can still create & send new emails.) I've done research and tried to fix this issue to no avail.

Can anyone assist me with a fix?

I just started another thread with the same question. And I've found other similar threads as well. I guess this is not an uncommon problem with Thunderbird. I too tried a couple of the canned answers but they didn't work.

artsnova, Thanks for you comment. I gave up called AOL and worked with them for an hour and what we found is IMAP works and POP no longer works, so I switched to IMAP even though I do not like IMAP.

sjclark, that's bad about POP and having to use IMAP. I do have a couple accounts set up with it but mostly use POP. For me, IMAP doesn't work either so its a real can of worms. Glad to hear that you at least got an answer.
