I tapped the Firefox logo 5x in the About section but it won't open up the about.config menu so i can make configuration changes for fingerprinting.

How can i access that menu?

Hi

About:config is currently available in the Beta and Nightly copies of Firefox for Android by entering "about:config" in the address bar.

Actually no. That's not correct. See here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1300502.

The latest post is from Feb 2021 stating that about:config no longer is available. Furthermore, you did not include a link to download the beta or nightly version. Therefore, you comment was not helpful.

Hi

About:config is available in the Beta and Nightly versions of Firefox for Android. You can find them available to download from the Google Play store app on your device.

What is the version number of Firefox for Android that you have installed on your device? Looking at the information you have supplied with your question, it appears that you are using a different browser.

That old post was saying "no longer available in the (then) current Release which was Firefox 72.x at the time I believe.

As for the Beta and Nightly you can look on the same place you got the Firefox Release, on the Google Play store.

Since you want a link so badly here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mozilla.firefox_beta https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mozilla.fenix

Keep in mind the Beta and especially the Nightly channel builds are for Testers and Developers in mind since they are a work in progress and things can be incomplete or break etc.

You believe? That's not helpful or reassuring. The comment by johnsmallberries was made in February when FF version 85 was available. Not 72.x.

I'm sorry but links are important when trying to assist others in forums. We are not mind-readers and I know Apple doesn't provide beta or nightly builds directly from the Apple Store. Why would Google do the same? Anyway, that's a rhetorical question. I shall wait for a definitive response. I don't believe in going on a wild goose chase.

Well most Firefox users using Android would get it on Google Play as that is what Mozilla uses for Android users to get Firefox installed and to provide Firefox updates for users using a Android phone or tablet. Only other official place for certain is https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/fenix/releases and is a option for those who do not have nor want to use Google Play on their device.

You referenced an old thread and concluded that there is no more about:config in Firefox for Android on any channel when the poster was just referring to Release at the time. Even though Seburo did say it was not in Release channel but was still on the Beta and Nightly channel builds in reply before.
