Please explain the problem in detail. What happens? What is the exact error messages?

I do not get an error message.

My problem is :-

1) in Thunderbird when I hit on a link to a web page Firefox opens and starts to load the page and then stops.

2) in Firefox when I hit a link in a web page to go to another page the page or file name is shown in downloads but does not open. if the file in downloads is hit it is re down loaded and again does not open.

due these problems I wish to remove the 2 updates which have caused this problem

regards

Robert

It is possible that your firewall or other security software blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox application. Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
