Signature not visible after upgrade to Thunderbird 60 (Debian 64 bit)
I have used Thunderbird on Debian for years. Last night Debian offered to upgrade TB in the usual way. I accepted, but when I went to TB my signature was missing from out-going message: whether included in the Account Settings or attached as a file.

It seems that an incompatible add-on named CompactHeader was the cause of the problem. Thank you.
Do you still have issues if you reinstall it. It is not as if that add-on does anything with the message display to cause the problem you mention.

Are you sure it is 62. The release is in the 50s and 60 is stable any currently being rolled out.
Matt, I have 60.0. Wrote 62 by mistake. Corrected. Two other problems: 1. Clicking on "Preferences" brings up an empty box. 2. Clicking on "Email link" in Firefox brings up an empty e-mail.

hold the shift key and start Thunderbird. It works to put it in safe mode in windows, I assume it works in Linux.
same issues in safe mode?
Thank you. Having the Shift key pressed when starting TB makes no difference to the three problems which I described.
There is no indication that TB is running in safe mode.
I might say that no add-on is active.
help menu > restart with add-on disabled. Gets to the same place and it does do other things other than just add-ons.
Thank you. When I did that, things began to work. Do I now completely remove add-ons? How do I deal with "other things"?
It seems that an incompatible add-on named CompactHeader was the cause of the problem. Thank you.

TB is running well, thank you. I cannot help in identifying the cause of the problems.
