Why am I getting "JS/Adware.Revizer.E" message from my antivirus program every time I go to a new website?
Every time I open a new website in my Firefox browser on my windows laptop I receive the following message from my ESET antivirus program: "A treat (JS/Adware. Revizer.E) was found in a file that Firefox tried to access. The access has been blocked." It is really annoying and I am concerned that there might be something wrong with my browser. Any ideas?

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- Anti-Rootkit Utility - TDSSKiller (for more info, see this alternate TDSSKiller download page)
- AdwCleaner (for more info, see this alternate AdwCleaner download page)
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista if you don't already have one. Windows 8/10 have antivirus protection built-in.

Ran the AdwCleaner and no threats were found. It is only doing this with Firefox. Microsoft Edge is not having the same issue.

That did it. There was something in firefox's extension folder that needed to be quarantined. Thanks for the help!
You will want to double check that you don't have any suspicious extensions installed on Firefox. If you're not sure, we can usually tell which ones are suspicious if you post a list of the extensions that are install on your system.
