Inbox & Trash being deleted after 14 days automatically without me doing anything. Where did they go. Need those e-mails. Help Please

Need those e-mails.I have checked all the settings and under Synchronization & Storage the Don't Delete Anything bullet is marked, but things are being deleted anyway. If this keeps up, I will have to quit using Thunderbird after being a happy user for years.

The problem, I think, was having my server set to IMAAP. (Don't know how that happened.) I deleted and reinstalled my account as aPOP3, hopes that helps. Thanks for your reply!!
