My e-mail page somehow changed the "send" button to "send later," and I can't change it back. You said to go to "file" and then "offline", but there's no "offline" entry in the file folder.

The easiest way to change from online to offline and back is to use the Online/Offline icon in the lower left corner of the window. The icon looks like 2 computer monitors. Clicking that icon changes states. There is a red x on it when offline.

I am going to make a wild guess that you are in a Write window when clicking File. You are correct. There is no Offline choice there. You need to be using the File menu in the main window.

You also have to be in the main window to see the icon I mention above.

Which version of Thunderbird do you use?
In current versions, it should look like this (this is a German screenshot but it's the same for English).
