I can no longer find any messages (in inbox or sent) that are older than 2 months. I am using IMAP server connection. I can't find any setting that says delete messages that are older than 2 months.

Please help I need to have access to past emails for our records.

The steps suggested in the article will not necessarily bring back the messages which have disappeared. But it should at least help to identify the underlying problem, so that this won't happen in the future. The most likely candidate for causing problems is anti-virus software. Have you checked that? Which of the suggested actions from the article did you actually carry out?
