an application that syncs with Android, mozilla, and or Ubuntu, and have remote access. My wife lives 2 hours away., so she can see my appointments and family budget status and vice versa. is there such a beast????

Well, you can use Google Calendar as a calendar. Just share it with your wife, download the app on your android from the Google Play store, maybe there's an app for Ubuntu? Then just bookmark it in Firefox, and TA-DAH! You have a synced calendar!
