Right Click → Save as in a normal browser window opens a system-colored save window, but since Firefox desktop 152, Right Click → Save as in a Private browser window opens a dark-colored save window, which does not have anywhere near enough contrast between the medium grey text and the black background. Is there a setting in about:config to make a Private window open a system-colored save window?

When uploading a file to attach to another app...the upload window opens up in dark mode. I don't like this and I did not change anything but it happens repeatedly. i have checked all options in settings to make sure the light mode is checked. Why is this happening. i did not change anything. Please advise. Thanks

Two days ago I started my PC to discover a firefox update with an option to change my default firefox appearance by adding a wallpaper image. I have now decided that I want to remove that image, but I cannot find out how to do so.

Since updating Firefox from a previous version, the browser no longer displays any Unicode emoji characters. Where an emoji would normally be rendered (👁), the browser instead displays empty space. Websites such as twitter and discord, which use their own artwork for emoji, are unaffected. This has negatively affected my browsing experience.

For illustrative purposes, I will add a series of emoji and include a screenshot of how they are displayed: (😀🙁😡💀). Other characters still display correctly: (β❖♞䷲⎈𐘢𓀺இ). My computer otherwise displays emoji correctly. The issue persists after disabling extensions, and has persisted between computer restarts.

I'm running Linux (NixOS) and Firefox version 148. I've tested on Chrome based browsers and they work fine. Tested on Firefox forks and they also don't display correctly. This is new since less than a week ago.

I came to know about Firefox Widgets but can't see any on Firefox 152 on Windows 11 desktop. The option Allow Firefox to improve features, performance and stability between updates is already checked (Screenshot attached) as suggested by users.

Firefox will often display itself in light mode when dark mode is active. Rarely the opposite though.

It happens randomly as far as I can tell, but maybe there's a pattern to it somehow, perhaps regarding doze mode?

Would love to know if I'm not the only one, and maybe if there's a way to fix it, or there's a bug report for it already that we can follow for updates.

Hello. 😊 I have a question about my copy of Firefox for Windows v152.0.6 x64. (For the record, I have nasty feeling that I'm using the wrong forum; but the address bar says I'm in the right one.)

In my main profile, the one that I have been using for years, the "Home and Startup" part of my settings page shows the following:

- Firefox Home

 - Search
 - **Weather**
 - Shortcut
 - Support Firefox
 - Recent Activity
   - Visited pages
   - Bookmarks
   - Most recent download
   - [Choose a wallpaper]
 - Firefox logo

Today, I went to about:profiles and created a new profile. This new profile offers different settings:

- Firefox Home

 - Search
 - **Widgets**
   - **Lists**
   - **Timer**
   - **Sports**
   - **Clock**
   - **Weather**
 - Shortcuts
 - Support Firefox
 - Recent Activity
   - Visited pages
   - Bookmarks
   - Most recent download
   - [Choose a wallpaper]
 - Firefox logo

That's strange, isn't it? Why the difference? And how can get all the goodies of the new profile under my old profile?

Isn't there a toolbar for available the top of the Firefox window? I can't find how to set that up. How do I add the toolbar?

When I move down the screen the tab bar (where it shows what tabs are open at the top of the screen) disappears and it reappears when I move back up to where it should be. I must have switched it on accidentally and can't turn it off. One thing I read said to go to More tools > Customise toolbar > Return to default (this might have been for a different problem but I tried it anyway). When I did that it seemed to work temporarily but then the tab bar disappeared again.

It no longer displays the top-level options, such as "Open in a new tab." It just has a black background without White lettering, though it can still be selected.

Who else is still experiencing the problem?
