Audio continues to play after closing streaming video

more options

After closing a browser window that is actively playing a streaming video, the audio continues to play until the video stream is exhausted. This happens to 95% of all streaming videos from all sorts of web sites, especially YouTube.

Starting a new streaming video will NOT end the previous stream. You have to wait until the previous one ends or you hear the audio from both.

I can't seem to figure out if this is a FireFox, Windows 7, or Flash problem.

I might have to switch to the dreaded Internet Explorer over this. Chrome has no way to change the menu bars around.... which is too Microsoft-like for me. I don't even know if IE lets you modify menu sizes/positions. I left IE because a past version wouldn't let you mess with the menus.

I found to stop an audio stream from playing after you close a browser window killing the Firefox process works. But I don't know if that is because it is a Firefox issue, or killing Firefox also kills any Flash add-ons.

Grrrrrrrrr.
