Which backup would be best to use for migrating bookmarks from current Firefox system package to new install Firefox flatpak: JSON, HTML, or Sync?

Copying places.sqlite and favicons.sqlite is easiest and fastest to transfer the bookmarks from one profile to another profile.

Sync is slowest as this transfers data in small chunks and can take its time in case of a lot of bookmarks. An HTML backup doesn't include meta data like Tags, so JSON would be preferable if you need everything.

It is up to use to decide way to use as all lead to get the bookmarks to the profile used by flatpak Firefox.

I used the JSON route and it worked great. Now my problem is the saved .mozilla file from the system package version did not populate with the flatpak version and I lost everything. Would that saved file be considered the old version when merging? Or could the information have been erased when I uninstalled the system package before installing the flatpak?
