website <https://www.gty.org/> I note that there is no green lock, but Firefox is preventing me from browsing a website i have used without any problems for 20 years or so. It does not give me an override option. While i appreciate your protection, surely there must be some argument for a user to note the danger, but continue to the website? I was connected for about 30 seconds before shutdown. I need info from the website.

It is possible that there were some ads on the page that were requested over an open HTTP connection. In that case you do not get a green lock.

If it happens again then check the Web Console (Tools -> Web Developer) for messages about blocked content and about the presence of mixed or unsafe content.

You can also check the Network Monitor.

If necessary use "Ctrl+F5" or "Ctrl+Shift+R" (Mac: Command+Shift+R) to reload the page and bypass the cache to generate a fresh log.

No issues here.

Unfortunately, it's not always possible for the user to bypass this message because some websites require you to connect using a secure HTTPS connection.

The error screen that you are getting should contain an error code, which will provide us some more information on what's going wrong.

There are also some general troubleshooting steps that you can take to resolve this issue in the Secure connection failed and Firefox did not connect page.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your prompt response, Wesley.

I tried again about an hour later and Voila the green lock was on and has stayed that way. Problem resolved, but i have no idea why or how.

Tech is weird stuff....
