Latest OSX (10.13.6 High Sierra) and thunderbird (latest 52.9.1) Message filter cannot find folders 30,000 msgs in database deleted .msf files no fix deleted global-messages-db.sqlite no fix

Pop3 with three accounts account a and b OK account c corrupted i.e. folder lost etc thought OK account c i will rename old and treat as a huge archive start again with account d renamed account c to cOLD created new account d get messages now shows TWO account BOTH as cOLD

I would be quite happy to have a ThunderbirdOLD app and a thunderbird NEW app thus starting with a clean slate Any ideas? Jonathon

PS Running Bitdefender which may be significant as it was flagged in another post
