Getting error: he page isn’t redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

I cleared cookies, enabled/disabled cookies, restarted, re-installed browser, re-started in safe mode, disabled hardware acceleration, etc... (all the advises I already saw in the support forums. Nothing helps so far.

Started to happen approximately a week ago when I updated to Firefox Quantum 57.0.4

Thanks. Tried all of that - still does not work. What I noticed that if I hit the reload after getting this error, the site opens normally, so it is only first time when it happens. Other browsers can open this link with no issues.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?

While you are in safe mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.

Make sure you do not block the referrer. network.http.sendRefererHeader = 2 (default) Make sure you do not block the redirect.

  • accessibility.blockautorefresh = false

In Firefox 56+ the "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page" setting can no longer be found in Options/Preferences.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.

You can check for problems with preferences.

Delete possible user.js and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename/remove the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in current Firefox releases.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
