make tab bar translucent on mac [firefox 57; mac]
Hi, I saw the image [attached] on Mozilla's webpage https://blog.nightly.mozilla.org/2017/09/26/these-weeks-in-firefox-issue-24/ . It seems to have a translucent tab bar on mac. But my firefox on my mac does not appear so. Can somebody help me enable some transparency on the tab bar? Thank you!

Can you attach a screenshot of what your tab bar looks like? Also, which theme are you using (menu button > customize > theme dropdown in the lower-left)? Currently, transparency isn't supported for the light and dark themes; this is being fixed in the new version of Firefox that is being released next week.

Thank you, user1929. When I was trying to get a clear screenshot, I change my desktop background to a more contrasted picture and found that in fact my tab bar is indeed translucent.
If you decide you want to experiment with changes to the transparency (opacity) of the user interface, beyond what the built-in settings allow, you could consider custom style rules that would be applied using a userChrome.css file. This forum is a good place to get style rule suggestions:
