Why are the zip file contents read and displayed to receivers?

When I send a zip file to a thunderbird user, in addition to the main body and attachment, the mail has a description of the contents for the compressed file I sent. Also, the description mentions that files are password protected, if true. A good security feature but if sending private info that could prove to be dangerous. Is there a way to shut off this security like feature on my end and/or the receiver end?

The image is a sample and in Japanese. It says that the file in sub directory of the zip file is password protected. No file processing required. Contact the sender for more detailed information about the contents.
