Receiving the same email every 2 minutes....over and over again! How do we stop it?

I first recieved an email about an hour ago, and it keeps coming through every 2 minutes. I've logged onto the mail online system and deleted the original email and all subsequent ones, but it keeps coming through. Any ideas?

It eventually stopped when I managed to get the sender to delete the email from their system. Phew!
