How do I set up Thunderbird Mail so I can open attached .kmz files?

whenI click on a KMZ file to open it the only choice given is Libre Office - no other programs are listed and I am unable to add any choices.

"Browse Application window, if the correct application is not listed, click Browse... and select the correct program". This only opens Libre Office, there are no other options.

I am now getting a "General input/output error"

If I forward the message and add "attachment" to the body, clicking on the pop up window there, before sending, opens Goggle earth.

Edit, Preferences attachments, now shows KML files and Google earth.

I have tried to open a defferent KMZ file from Ski Tracks. Same problem. clint :-(

It's probably easier to just save the attachments to your computer and open them outside of TB with Google Earth; there's no real advantage to opening them from TB.

somewhat. I agree with you. It is just that I left many years of using Evolution because of unresolvable lock up problems, and am not sure now that TB is an improvement - just different frustrations.
