When installing Firefox on Debian 6.0.6 it does not find the library (libraries) that are in the firefox installation folder

After successfully solving the various library problems I get the following message

XPCOMGlueLoad error for file /root/firefox/libxpcom.so: libxul.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Couldn't load XPCOM.

It looks like the library 'libxul.so' or 'libxpcom.so' that are in the firefox directory extracted from the ..tar.bz2 are not found. Any suggestions? Thanks
