How do I disable the Find toolbar?
Since the last update I have this "Find" feature that pops up at the bottom of my browser window whenever I type. I have found it extremely annoying because when I type in a field (like the form for this submission) it pops up and displays my text there instead of in the field where I am trying to type. Closing the toolbar and re-clicking to place my cursor in the field I want to type solves the issue, but I am tired of doing this every time I want to type in a field. I have tried dragging the bar to the customize window to disable it but it won't go. (Probably because it is not actually a button, but a toolbar.) It's not listed on my list of toolbars to uncheck. How do I disable this toolbar? Please help! :-(

Thank you, but it's not that the page hasn't loaded and I already checked (and re-checked) that "search for text when I start typing" is not selected. I even tried selecting that option, closing Firefox, then reopening and deselecting the option. However, this is what it appears to be doing (i.e. searching for text whenever I start typing.) Maybe there is bug in my current version? :-/
Did you look at the searchhotkeys extension?
- searchhotkeys: http://nic-nac-project.de/~kaosmos/index-en.html#searchkeys
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
