Cannot find or Uninstall Search Results/Searchqu/Bandoo

I seem to some how have 'contracted' this VERY annoying searchqu/search-results hijacker thing on my laptop and I have followed all suggestions to delete and uninstall it from my device but none of the suggested names are showing up anywhere in "programme files" or on "add ons". I want to know if I can fix this myself or just bite the bullet and take it to a repair shop and have the professionals take care of it for me?
