In onder to go on a certain website, I have to have Firefox Version 3x. How does this work when I have later versions?

If it is just one thing then you may be better off using the Portable Firefox version of Firefox 3.6.* as it will not impact your Firefox 6.0.2 install and settings. It is self-contained as you can you can install it on hard disk or on a usb flash drive.
