laptop crashed, I have data on a disk, can I recover the bookmarks?

My old laptop crashed. I was able to move the hard drive to an external drive but not the applications. I would like to recover the Firefox bookmarks I had on that machine if possible. I do not know where to look for them or if they would respond to the restore command on my new computer
