Firefox will not launch after latest OS X security update

Just installed latest Apple software update on Snow Leopard. Now, Firefox will not launch. Checked system logs and get this:

11/21/10 10:24:20 PM com.apple.launchd.peruser.501[155] ([0x0-0x6d06d].org.mozilla.firefox[802]) Exited with exit code: 1

The following may or may not be related. Before installing the update, I had lots of these messages in my logs:

11/21/10 7:27:17 PM firefox-bin[39594] *** __NSAutoreleaseNoPool(): Object 0x1422680 of class __NSCFDate autoreleased with no pool in place - just leaking 11/21/10 7:27:17 PM [0x0-0x493493].org.mozilla.firefox 2010-11-21 19:27:17.323 firefox-bin[39594:903] *** __NSAutoreleaseNoPool(): Object 0x1422680 of class __NSCFDate autoreleased with no pool in place - just leaking
